hi is a British-American computer programmer, businessman, and two-time presidential candidate who unsuccessfully sought the Libertarian Party nomination for president of the United States in 2016 and 2020. In 1987, he wrote the first commercial anti-virus software, founding McAfee Associates to sell his creation. He resigned in 1994 and sold his remaining stake in the company. McAfee became the company's most vocal critic in later years, urging consumers to uninstall the company's anti-virus software, which he characterized as bloatware. He disavowed the company's continued use of his name in branding, a practice that has persisted in spite of a short-lived corporate rebrand attempt under Intel ownership.

             The crypto & computer legend John McAfee was found dead in his Spanish jail cell last week shortly after a Spanish court had approved his extradition to the United States, if you have no idea who this guy was his the short story John became rich and famous for creating the widely used McAfee antivirus software in 1987.

He sold his entire stake in the company shortly after it went public in the late 90s which landed him a fortune of over 100 million dollars most of which was lost during the 2008 financial crisis.

When cryptocurrency started getting off the ground a few years later John positioned himself as one of the major influences in the space and amassed a large following, as a result, he even created a few crypto projects of his own most of which were essentially carbon copies of existing cryptocurrencies. 

John was known for being a bit of a paranoid conspiracist and had multiple run-ins with the law in the past, he was notoriously suspected of being involved in a murder in Guatemala in 2012 and investigation of the unlawful possession of multiple firearms all this makes up just a fraction of his overall rap sheet, this time around he was wanted for tax evasion and illegally promoting ICO's during the last poll right.

now well John's death is officially labeled as a suicide some are not sure given that he had repeatedly stated in the past that he would never off himself, even went as far as tattooing the word "WHACKD" on his own to highlight his belief that his death would be at the hands of U.S authorities not by his own hand.

Not only that but John also claims to have amassed terabytes of sensitive data about politicians and businessmen over the years that would be automatically released when he died, this is known as a dead man switch some believe that this release of information was activated on the Ethereum blockchain after John died. 

However, it does not seem to be any concrete evidence of any dead man switch at this time and it's more than likely that these developments are just a continuation of John's paranoia post mortem by fanboys.
